Covid-19 April Update

23rd April 2020

We hope everyone is doing well and keeping safe. As the Covid-19 lockdown continues, we wanted to provide another update on how we are preventing the virus from entering any of our care homes.

We are still fortunate enough to say that we have had no cases of infection in our homes which indicates that our response is effectively keeping out the virus.

The staff are doing a great job at adhering to the infection prevention rules and guidelines set out by ourselves and the Government. Their hard work and commitment to our residents is one of the reasons we haven’t had an outbreak as of yet. We’re proud of their individual responses to the virus and the excellent care that they continue to provide during these difficult times.

Where necessary, we are sending staff for Covid-19 testing provided by the NHS. This alleviates any potential staffing issues, but so far we haven’t experienced any issues with staff cover.

Due to recent media coverage around Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in care homes and the NHS, we want to reassure you again that we have plenty of PPE supplies and incumbent distributors keeping us topped up.

We are still using phone and video calls to keep the residents in contact with their relatives. If you would like to arrange a time to call, please contact the home Manager to do so.

Thank you for your support during these unnerving times, please be reassured that we continue to update our approach to the pandemic in line with the Government and Public Health guidelines. We will maintain regular updates but if you do have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the Contact Us page on our website.
